The Navigation Tabs component is an early, in-progress design for a portal navigation scheme based on user-customizable tabs. The design work for this component is iterative, and will eventually merge common tab functionality across both uPortal and Sakai into a single, reusable component.

Design Documentation for the Sakai Implementation

Sakai's 'More' Tab Design: Initial design ideas for improving Sakai's new DHTML "More Sites" user interface. This work, combined with similar improvements to uPortal's drag-and-drop customizable tabs UI, will form the groundwork for the Navigation Tabs component.
