Fluid Project Technical Lead
Adaptive Technology Resource Centre,
University of Toronto
Profile
I'm the technical lead for the Fluid Project. I have worked in the field of inclusive software design at the University of Toronto's Adaptive Technology Resource Centre for over ten years, with a particular interest in usability and UI architectures. In addition to my work in the Infusion community, I'm also a contributor to the jQuery UI, uPortal, and CollectionSpace communities.
My role on the Fluid Project is to help coordinate the technical development of Infusion, Engage, and our other partner projects. I helped to architect the Infusion framework, and have a keen interest in building open Web tools that make it easier to develop highly usable and accessible user interfaces.
As an incessant multitasker, I am also an active composer of unpopular music here in Toronto. I've also collaborated with experimental filmmakers, and am a member of the Toronto film screening group The Loop Collective. With Loop, I have curated several indisciplinary exhibits that combine film, music, and art installations, including Elemental Processes, featuring the work of Canadian artists Chris Welsby, Michael Snow, and Alex Geddie.
