The following are notes regarding the design process being used to help adapt PhET simulations into a more accessible form.

  1. Evaluate the current simulation.
  2. Come up with questions.
  3. Gain an understanding of learning goals, pedagogically important elements, and who the intended user is.
  4. Create a design sketch with accessible elements - this includes an early version of the sim as it would be rendered in an HTML document that is readily consumable by ATs.
  5. Get feedback and iterate.
